Maegan Learned To Swim

Last week Maegan began taking swimming lessons. She’s been advancing each and every day, and today she swam all by herself. Maegan has two more class lessons left.

Maegan Wins Art Honor

As many of you already know, Maegan loves to draw everyday. She was just chosen as one of only eight students from her entire school to have some of her artwork displayed at the Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools Professional Development Center. "Congratulations! Dear Parents, Maegan Sussman’s artwork was chosen for a [school name omitted] art display at the Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools Professional Development Center. The art work will be on display until January 13, 2005. … Please stop by and check out the artwork which promotes good quality Art Education and is enjoyed by the many visitors and employees of the PDC. I am very proud of our talented [school name omitted] artists!"

Wedding in New York

Image
Patty, Maegan, and I all went up to New York this Labor Day weekend for the wedding of Patty’s sorority sister Janet LaMagra. The wedding was in White Plains / Purchase and we all had a great time. Patty was the Matron of Honor and Maegan was the flower girl. We also managed to squeeze in a quick trip to Queens to visit my mom, sister, and aunt on Saturday morning.

Play Ball

We signed Maegan up for t-ball and she had her first ever practice this week. She is one of the youngest on her team and one of only two girls. Maegan had a lot to learn but she had a blast and can’t wait until her first game.

Boomer-ang

Boomer is a three month old Rat Terrier. Not much to say right now other than he’s got lots of energy and I can’t wait until he learns to do his business outside. Photos are in the Photo Gallery section.

Maegan's First Day of School

Today was Maegan’s first day of school at Lake Wylie Elementary. For some unknown reason, Maegan calls it Lake Wylie Crocodile Elementary. We dropped her off along with Patty’s mom and my sister (who’s visiting this weekend). Maegan was very excited and was smiling when we left her classroom.
